Frequently asked questions.
What types of issues do you specialize in?
We help adults navigate anxiety, chronic worry, burnout, depression, ADHD and neurodivergence, career stress, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions such as divorce, retirement, and aging. We also offer faith-informed Christian counseling for those who want it, and specialized support for older adults..
Do you offer online/virtual therapy?
Yes. All our therapists provide telehealth counseling for adults in Idaho, Washington, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida. Sessions are held through a secure, easy-to-use video platform so you can meet from the comfort of your home, office, or any private space.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
We primarily offer online therapy to increase accessibility and flexibility for clients in multiple states. Some of our counselors offer walk & talk therapy, as well as intensives, which are usually held in person.
How long are therapy sessions?
Most sessions are 55 minutes. Intensives are 3 or 4 hours.
Do you take insurance?
Yes, we take most major insurances and are happy to do a verification of benefits for you at no cost with no obligation to schedule (this will tell you what your mental health benefits are and how much it will cost you to see a counselor). We do not currently accept Cigna or Medicaid.
What can I expect during my first session?
Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist, share what’s on your mind, and talk about what you hope to change or understand. You don’t need to prepare anything. We’ll go at whatever pace feels right for you. If you are worried about it feeling awkward, don’t worry. Your therapist is an expert on making you feel comfortable and relaxed, with zero judgment.
How do I choose the right therapist??
Each therapist on our team has unique strengths and specialties. If you’re unsure who to choose, we can help you find the best fit based on your needs—whether that’s anxiety, burnout, ADHD, faith-informed support, or senior mental health. Simply fill out the contact form and let us know that you’d like to talk with someone about who would be a good fit for you. We will contact you via your preferred method to make some suggestions based on your needs.
Is my information confidential??
Absolutely. We follow all HIPAA guidelines to protect your privacy. Your therapist will discuss confidentiality and any exceptions during your first session.
Do you offer Christian counseling?
While we are not specifically a Christian affiliated group, we do have therapists who specialize in offering faith-based therapy.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Simply click on our contact page and tell us a bit about yourself. We will respond shortly, usually within 2 hours but certainly within 24. If you have other questions you’d like to ask before scheduling, you can always call or text at 208-273-1842 or email us at info@wsagecounseling.com and a real person will respond shortly.
